SALMON AND
STEELHEAD RODS
Feel the bite
came from our knowledge of what it takes to catch these great migrating
fish. Our steelhead rods have light sensitive tips, so you can tell the
difference between the rocks, sand, sticks and everything else in the
river and that subtle pause or bump that means a bite. Power to whip big
fish in fast water is part of our 5/D design. Salmon means power.
The powerful tapers come on fast and keep on coming so you feel like the
boss, not the other way around. You are covered for all salmon and
steelhead fishing techniques with rods from 7’6” Hot Shot to 12’
Steelhead rods.
These rods use Batson Forecast Guides exclusively, with guide
spacing and size selection designed to balance weight and strength. Cork
length and configurations match the intended use of the rod. Great Lakes
fishermen now have three NEW 9’ 6” Steelhead models with the 9”
fore cork and 4 ¾” rear cork mated to a Batson Forecast reel seat. (SH / RG
designation) Our selection of the increasingly popular Side Drifting
models is growing with the addition of three NEW 10’ 6” models.
(SS designation)
Rogue is offering the ROGRIP Graphite Handle package as an option
on most salmon and steelhead casting rods. The cork grip and fore grip
are replaced with very light and durable woven graphite tubes. Our
guides were the inspiration for the light and sensitive ROGRIP
Graphite Handle. They also wanted a handle that did not deteriorate with
age and use, and was easy to keep clean. The polished finish is smooth
to the touch, but is not slick when wet and it is warm in cold weather.
Lead time is 6 days and the cost is $40.00.

KOKANEE TROLLING RODS
Kokanee fanatics pay attention! These rods were designed for you to add
more fun and excitement to catching Kokanee using downriggers. The fine,
light tips arc in downriggers for gentle line pickup and hook setting.
The 5/D design allows fish fighting control with Ultra Light fun.
The lower butt section is beefy enough to allow you to pop the line off
the downrigger release. These rods use 11 of the smallest, lightest
guides we could find to keep the line off the blank. All these features
packed in a rod so light that it is a shame you have to put a reel on
it. You need to see for yourself what a difference a perfectly designed
rod makes compared to just a fly rod blank with casting guides.

FLY RODS
Rogue’s fly rod design team has really utilized all aspects of our
5/D technology to produce these rods. The mission was to make a fly
rod that would reflect the best values and components of all top of the
line fly rods, yet be affordable. What are the best qualities in a top
of the line fly rod? Light weight, crisp tapers that make rods a
pleasure to cast, even for beginners, and the use of top of the line
components and thread wraps that truly reflect the pride of American
workmanship. Our chosen reel seat is the newest Channel Lock TICH
coated, machined aluminum seat that sets us apart from all the Woody
seats or graphite seats traditionally used on fly rods. It is the most
functional reel seat we could find, because the channel fits and centers
all reels, and the keyed sliding hood is attached to the lock nut so it
pulls the hood off the reel foot when removing the reel. SIC stripper
guides and single foot TICH coated fly guides are used to increase
performance. The garnet thread color accents the TICH fittings. All rods
come in a Cordura nylon covered rod tube.
Finally, a cosmetically appealing rod that reflects simplicity yet begs
to be compared to rods that cost double the price. Rogue offers true
high performance rods at a realistic price! We did our homework on this
one. Whether you’re a dyed in the wool trout angler or you chase the
larger fish species, you'll be amazed by the performance of our Rogue
Fly Rods. These rods are a true value that offer performance far beyond
their initial cost.
NEW for this year are one piece “Mangrove Mauler” rods designed
to catch and subdue tough fish in tight quarters. These are short but
tough 7’9” rods out looking for a fight. Powerful fast taper blanks in
8–10 weight and 10-12 weight configurations are combined with TICH
coated SIC guides, a Channel Lock reel seat with fighting butt and a
cork power grip positioned on the blank above the full wells grip
inspired birth to the “Mangrove Mauler” name.

SPINNING RODS
We have tried to put some romance back into freshwater spinning
rods. The Ultra Light and the Light spinning rods have actions that
are a pleasure to cast with the rated lure and line weights. This is
not always the case with lesser rods. Light spinning rods have a
cork filled seat that is matched to finesse diameter cork grips.
Lightweight Batson Forecast Guides protect your delicate light lines and are spaced
to balance the rod. One and two piece models are available.

SJ RODS
The SJ rods are universal, one–piece, workhorse spinning rods. The
5/D blank actions are closely related to their casting cousins, so
they have hook setting and fish fighting power. The sensitive Rogue tips
make it possible to Feel the bite.
Whether it is Bass, Walleye, or any other species, these rods will help
you catch more fish. We have added two NEW moderate action models
to the lineup for presentations that require a softer action. (SJ / M
designation)
Lightweight Batson Forecast Guides enhance power and casting
accuracy and are spaced to balance the rod. Most models have an 8”
rear cork and 2” fore cork matched to Batson Forecast reel seats.
The two new moderate action models use Batson Forecast reel seats and the 7’6” model has a 9 ½” rear
cork.

DROP SHOT RODS
These are absolutely the best Drop Shot Rods on the planet and will
allow you to precisely wiggle that little worm and control your drop
shot presentations. Bob Loomis threw the old standard ideas out the
window on this one. The perfect action blank has been mated to REC
Titanium Recoil Guides and a Neutral Dynamics reel seat design. The reel
seat has a 5” fore cork and a 4 ¾” rear cork and is meant to be fished
with your hand placed in front of the reel seat on the 6” fore cork. The
weight of the spinning reel behind the hand position balances the
forward weight of the rod to provide Neutral Dynamics. When you move the
bait or impart action to the bait you are only feeling the weight of the
bait and not the forward weight of the rod. Subtle hand movements will
allow never-before-possible action to be imparted to the bait. Fish will
hate these rods.
Special REC Nickel Titanium Alloy Recoil Guides are made from an
extremely hard but flexible “Shape Memory” alloy which does not require
plating, cannot corrode in any environment, and returns to its original
shape after repeated deformations. These wire spinning guides are 4 to 5
times lighter than any ceramic guide to give you extra finesse and
improved Neutral Dynamics. The look of these guides may be retro but the
material and performance is the future.

7-11 BASS RODS
The search is over for guys who like to fish with long rods. Our long 7’
11” rods allow you to cast farther when needed, crank deeper, get more
sweep on hook sets, pitch farther, reach farther, and keep more line off
the water. Rogue 5/D blank designs are light enough to allow you to fish
these long beauties all day long. Remember the days with all the 6’ to
7’ rods and short rod lockers? Those days are behind us, and we are
taking the leap to the max length allowed for tournaments. The 7-11 Rods
include Crankbait, Mag Bass, Spin Jig, and a Flippin Stick. Try one on
for size and see if you agree that longer is better. These rods can be
paired with our Byron Velvick Swim Bait Rods for a consistent feel. The
handles are bass length handles, so you don’t have to work around long
Salmon, Steelhead, or Salt water length handles just to get a longer
rod. Go Long, Feel the bite,
Catch More Fish.

BASS CASTING RODS
If you want your actions fast, these are the rods for you. We believe
that there is a need for bass rods that actually bend. Our fast taper
actions with softer Feel the bite tips cast a wider range of lures and
detect strikes like they were an extension of your arm and fingers. Upon
hook set there is an immediate 5/D design transition into a
powerful butt section that will allow your hook to penetrate the
toughest mouths and keep it there.

GP SALTWATER RODS
GP means General Purpose; in other words, go ahead and catch it if you
can, and the rod will put it in the boat. The blanks are 5/D designs
that use three types of material: Linear graphite is used for stiffness,
and power, woven graphite cloth is there for lightweight strength, and a
fiberglass mat for grueling, rail fighting, durability. The woven
graphite is used on the outside layers, which also gives the rod a
distinctive look. The Power/Strength/Weight benefits of this
composite-balanced blank design are unequaled. The extra fast actions
let you Feel the bite.
All to reach the goal of catching more fish.
The all salt water design set uses Pac Bay Heavy Duty Boat Rod Guides
with Hialoy rings and TICH Titanium coated stainless frames on most
rods. The GP 6HRS and GP 6XHRS use AFTCO roller guides and have
Slick-butt rear butts for easy removal when pinned in rod holders. The
GP 76M has AFTCO UL roller guides for light weight plus all the roller
guide benefits. Hi quality black foam grips and TICH coated aluminum
Channel lock reel seats are used on all models. The garnet and silver
wraps are looking good on these rods. Arm yourself with one of these
fish whipping weapons next time you go after those tackle testing fish
from the deep.

LIGHT SALT WATER, POPPING AND BAY
RODS
Inshore fishermen are a demanding group. They want it all in a rod. They
want light weight, power, strength, sensitivity, durability, value, good
looks, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. We have made a counter offer
to the group that desires all of the above, and we have thrown in a
large expertly designed selection of rods with Batson Forecast guides and reel
seats.
Every rod has incorporated our state of the art 5/D design. This
design reflects our effort to produce optimum tapers from our blanks
while increasing overall rod strength. Again, the 5/D Rogue
design team has developed peak performance from each rod while reducing
cumbersome weight.
-
SW rods use the appropriate size and
style of Batson Forecast reel seat and the correct guide spacing, sizing and style
for the design of the rod without adding unnecessary weight. The newest
Batson Forecast Silicon Nitride II Salt Water Guides are used on the SW 666C, 706C,
765C, 766C, 805C, 806C, 865C, and SW 866C rods. The Silicon Nitride II
guides are even hard enough and smooth enough for use with wire line.
These expensive guides add endurance and utility to these heavy action
rods.

state of the art surf rod development program. Proper use of graphite
enables our design team to limit rod weight without compromising blank
strength. Guide spacing and size are designed to get the most out of
each cast. Exciting new handle designs make for a firmer yet comfortable
grip that makes repeat casts as well as fish fighting qualities a
pleasure. All these rods incorporate our new 5/D rod designs and
exhibit a variety of casting tapers to reach that outer bar with ease.
Rogue Surf Rods incorporate Batson Forecast guide systems and customized reel
seats. The East Coast angler will readily recognize that many of these
models are built with them in mind. Whether you're casting metal,
popping, or slinging bait there's a Rogue Surf model to meet your needs.

with TICH coated hoods. A unique handle design incorporates slip
resistant tape over a cork tape cushion and a foam butt grip for
powerful casts and day long comfort.

ROGRIP GRAPHITE HANDLE

Rogue is offering the ROGRIP Graphite Handle package as an option
on most casting rods. The cork grip and fore grip are replaced with very
light and durable woven graphite tubes. Our river guides were the
inspiration for the light and sensitive ROGRIP Graphite Handle.
They also wanted a handle that did not deteriorate with age and use, and
was easy to keep clean. The polished finish is smooth to the touch but
is not slick when wet, and it is warm in cold weather.
Lead time is 6 days on this special order cost is $40.00.
